The fine print, kept short

This site has one purpose: to let you join the Roanoke waitlist. The note below covers exactly what that involves. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we collect as little as possible.
What we store
When you join the waitlist, we store two things: the email address you enter, and the date and time you signed up. We also keep a record of whether you confirmed that email through the link we send you. That is the entire dataset.
We do not ask for your name, and we do not store your IP address, location, or any device fingerprint alongside your signup.
Why we store it
Your email is used only to contact you about Roanoke: development updates, early access opportunities, and the launch announcement. We use a double opt-in, which means we email you once to confirm you actually want to be on the list before adding you. Nothing is added until you confirm.
Who processes it
We send email through Resend, an email delivery provider that acts as our processor. Your address is shared with Resend solely so that our emails can reach you. Your signup record is held in a hosted key-value store provided through our infrastructure host so we can remember who is on the list. We do not share your address with anyone else.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it removes you from the list and stops all further email. You can also email us at hello@roanokegame.com and ask us to delete your record, and we will.
Changes
If we ever start collecting more than this, we will update this page before doing so and note the new date at the top.
